Stop by the most unique visitor center in Kansas. Built in 2002, the Franklin County Visitor Information Center reflects the Victorian homes scattered throughout town.
We provide free coffee, occasional treats, free wireless Internet, on-site computer access and a Kansas products gift shop.

In 2002, the FCCVB built the Franklin County Visitor Information Center with funds from a TEA-21 grant and several years of savings.
General Information
The FCCVB employs one full-time employee and one part-time employee and utilizes more than over 30 volunteers to staff the visitor center throughout the year. Funding is derived from the transient guest tax, which is a percentage tax imposed on overnight stays in Franklin County. This tax is authorized by the Kansas State Legislature. Currently, the transient guest tax in Franklin County is 6 percent.
